8/28/2008 Ms. Nancy Davis one
of the second grade teachers in River Springs Elementary invited my to come September,2008 for a visit
to her class.
March 2, 2008- Mr. Poon a 5th grade teacher in Dutch Fork Elementary in Irmo, S.C.
invited me to visit his class.
He and the children were warm and a true delight! I did some poetry readings and we had had a wonderful time. The children
also shared some of their poems. We did a writing activity together; the children did a wonderful job! Thank you guys for
sharing!
Thank you Mr. Poon for your kind invitation, I enjoyed it immensely!
March 2, 2008- I attended the Poetry Cafe for the 5th graders, Mrs. Erica's class
at Dutch Fork Elementary! I had the wonderful opportunity to listen to the poetry of her young, talented up coming
poets share their poetry! It was great! I applaud you young poets! I also was invited to share some of my
children's poetry with the children and what a wonderful day!
Ms. Riser also invited Auntie Beebe, a poet from Charlotte, S.C. as a mystery guest;
she was a true inspiration to the children! Everyone, including myself loved her presentation and poetry!
Auntie Beebe, what a joy to meet you, I found you warm and personable, and thanks for sharing!
Thank you Ms. Riser for inviting me, also I want to thank Ms. Erica and her wonderful 5th grade class for having
me! Mrs. Riser, thank you for the opportunity to meet and enjoy Auntie Beebe's wonderful company, while she was here on her
visit!
April 25, 2008 I will attend the River Springs Elementary " Fun
Fest" where all the proceeds of my book sold during the event will go to the school and for our
children's education.
My special thanks to the members of PTO for their kind
support! I had a wonderful time and met many wonderful people. It was personally fulfilling sharing with our community
children and helping support the school.
April 18, 2008 My visit to Dutch Fork Elementary- Ms. Riser the reading
interventionist invited me to do readings and share my poetry with her 3rd and 4th grade students. Together we did
some poetry readings and planned activities; they were amazingly interactive and happy!
I want to thank Ms. Riser, the principal and the other teachers for
their wonderful warm welcome and allowing me to share with children! It was truly a wonderful day!
